( the true city )

(The True City)

(The True City) is a photographic, self-animated online project in progress.

Inspired by JG Ballard's remark that airports are the 'true city' of the 21st century, this work is going to depict life at some European airports such as London Stansted, Newcastle International, or Berlin Schönefeld.

(The True City) is currently in production and will most likely be completed by the end of 2012.

Whilst assembling the material, I wrote a text (in German) about airports for The Thing Hamburg "Pavillonstadt - Was ist ein Flughafen" (2008).
