Impending Unrest

Impending Unrest is a website collection of files.

The collections of .pdf and .mp3 notes were taken during a residency in Preston (Lancashire). The work was produced in Autumn 2010 in England when a new government announced severe cuts affecting the general public across the country. Student protests began; violent riots were not to arrive until summer 2011.

The website is intentionally simple but confusing. It contains photographic and sound material collections that reflect my areas of interest and research during the residency. The work was initially hosted by folly — a digital arts organisation in Lancaster 1989-2011 — and is now hosted by furtherfield.
