Impending Unrest

Impending Unrest is a Flash projector file.

During a residency in Preston (Lancashire) at the Harris Library, I used the books in the collection to build landscapes / cityscapes. The projector is randomly sequenced so that of the 12 sequences none will be immediately repeated.

The work was produced as a site specific file to be used onsite of the library. An edition of 3 was also produced and is available here.

Impending Unrest was developed as part of a residency, organised by folly, a digital arts organisation in Lancaster, 1989-2011. folly published an interview on their website, read here as pdf.
