(The Beatles) in Hamburg

(The Beatles in Hamburg) is a sound project in the public realm including an online component at thebeatlesinhamburg.com, signage in three locations and a CD-book publication.

At the centre of the work are 11 sound compositions that use field recordings from locations in the city of Hamburg where the Beatles once spend time at the beginning of their career. From these sound works, I developed 11 drawings - graphical scores that could be used my musicians or conductors as a basis for new music. The sound works have been published alongside the scores in a hybrid Book - CD by The Green Box, Berlin.
